What’s the buzz, tell me what’s a happening

December 8, 2009

LOM's editor looking for something worth posting

LOM craves your attention, LOM needs your attention but LOM is a drone processing pollen for the Queen deep in the buzzing hive of modern American Capitalism.

But the drone has dreams and a sad half-finished novel tucked in a tiny bee drawer in a tiny bee desk at home and he desires to express himself to the world in this venue too but wishes to do it well. Honey takes time.

Here’s what the drone is working on in his spare, spare time for your reading pleasure.

— Could the newly formed SCDP repackage the Ambien-popping, sex-crazed, golf clubbed image of former Golden God Tiger Woods?  They were going to save Nixon.  The press just turned up siren #10;  it appears Tiger has made the turn and started in on the back nine. Don Draper needs to take up golf, it’s good for the soul.

—-Why I can’t hate Jane Siegel Sterling.  This has been in the hopper for months, still not quite done though.

—-Can Al Roker be any more annoying? What does my Roker rage have to do with Mad Men? Probably nothing but I have to shout I DO NOT LIKE AL ROKER.

—-A new LOM feature – Secular Sunday – we radical atheists have a few more free hours than the believers do every Sunday, let’s fill them wisely, with rational, human thought and godless introspection.

All this could be here for your perusal next time you check in, who knows? Life’s a mystery.

Followed link from Basket of Kisses page – thanks again for your thoughtful commentary on Suzanne.
Haven’t got round to rewatching the Don-Suzanne scenes because of pressure of work – but will do so and revert by way of comment to your previous post. Glad to hear Jane Siegel Sterling is not forgotten.

Thank you Ruth! If you catch any new impressions please bring ’em by and share. I remembered I promised The Jane Defense over at BoK, thanks for being patient.

I love JSS. She’s very funny and it’s so much fun to watch her with the other characters who detest her.

you know, in the whole big scheme of things, I don’t hate date nut bread either. she sort of bores me and then, of course, there’s that thing I have about being nice to pregnant women. but my lack of feelings for her do not rise to the level of…anything. That whole set up in the car was so excellent.

but, as far as it goes, the entire season 3 was more “difficult” than the others because of everything that happened.

    have fun making that honey!
