Tiger Week! Tiger Week! Tiger Week!

April 5, 2010

Tiger making the turn, stalking the leaders.

No longer sponsored by Gatorade, Tiger makes do.

Major tour complaint-- the pace of play is so slow

Tiger starts the long walk back to the top, maybe?

Tiger at the summit, "It's good ta be da King!" (Don't tell Leo I said that.)

Hey, we said TIGER week!  What?  You were expecting something about Eldrick?

Eldrick doing that voodoo that he do so well.

He has a pre-tourney press conference at 2pm EDT today.  Our LOM Network golf reporter Shivas Irons (who coincidently enough is also our Pulitzer Prize winning adultery reporter) is in Augusta on the grounds all this week and will be documenting the action. Stay tuned as the tent is set up and the circus comes to town.

Where are all the lady tigers?

That is an interesting question, which also happened to be asked in a variant form on this Washington Post forum, regarding Eldrick.

I have no zoology cred. Do you know they are not lady tigers above? I’ve lightly surfed but only found that the major distinctive family-friendly photographable physical traits are the overall size and weight advantage to the male, and his wider forepaw pads. Looking around for a good photo, I’ve discovered I can’t pick out the lady tigers of the savannah. Here though since you asked Ruth, is a snap listed as a female Siberian acting saucy, perhaps in contempt of my female ID-ing talents.

And here’s another designated female Siberian. Look at those mitts! That face! Could you safely call out that creature as the weaker sex? Or coo “What a cute kitty!”??
On a more serious note, tigers, male and female, do not take a bad picture. I’ve clicked on scores of jpegs lately and they’re all stunning to look at.
        female siberian?
